At Rancho Regional Veterinary Hospital we are committed to our patient's health and providing the most cutting edge medicine available.  In keeping with our commitment we have recently invested in several upgrades to our facilities.

In our laboratory we have added a new chemistry analyzer which allows us to perform both routine and emergency evaluation of our patient's internal organs with increased speed and ease.  Our new machine also allows us to perform chemistry panels on several patients at one time, decreasing time to diagnosis and providing faster care for our patients and their owners.

We have also added a coagulation analyzer.  This machine is integral in emergency medicine and helps with the overall assessment of our critical patients.  With this machine we are able to assess your pets ability to form blood clots.  Blood clotting ability may be altered by toxicity, organ dysfunction, genetic bleeding disorders and blood cell abnormalities.  Because we have added this valuable service in hospital we are able to both assess and make decisions for our patients immediately, without waiting for clotting values to be reported from our laboratory the following morning (thus delaying and complicating treatment).

A complete revamp of our digital x-ray suite has been performed.  We now have a direct digital x-ray system.  The direct digital system allows us to perform radiographs (x-rays) of our patients and have results within 15 seconds of the image being taken.  This increased speed of image processing allows for less stress on our patients and faster care for our patients.  The resolution of our images is also increased several fold which means increased visibility and clarity with respect to potential abnormalities within your pet (think of it as HD television vs black and white tube television).
