Because of the shorter lifespan of our pets, we stress the importance of an annual physical examination until the age of 7 years. After the age of 7 years we recommend twice yearly exams to ensure that health problems are recognized early and treated promptly. Thorough check-ups and preventive care can help alleviate serious health problems. We offer a wide range of veterinary services to keep your companions feeling their best:
Pet Transportation: We offer the transportation of your pet between your home and our facility with the use of our exclusive company van. Please contact our facility for more details on this convenient service.
Diagnostic and Therapeutic Services: Our hospital is equipped to provide diagnostic and therapeutic services to care for your pets' complete health care needs.
Surgical Services: Our state-of-the-art surgical suite provides for the performance of a wide variety of surgical procedures performed by Drs. Berg and bohrer. We also work with a veterinary surgical specialist for advanced soft tissue and orthopedic procedures within our facility.
Anesthesia: We utilize the safest available anesthetics to provide an extra margin of safety, especially for our older or high-risk patients. Using the most modern equipment, the patient's vital signs are monitored during all anesthetic procedures.
Acupuncture: Dr. Bohrer is trained in veterinary acupuncture and will soon become a certified veterinary acupuncturist (C.V.A.). Veterinary acupuncture can aid in the treatment of many chronic and debilitating diseases, helping to improve overall quality of life. Many diseases have a favorable response to acupuncture including arthritis, inflammatory diseases and some neurological conditions. If you have any questions please set up a consultation with Dr. Bohrer to help assess your pet's condition. Additional information on veterinary acupuncture can be found by clicking on the tab at the left.
Adult Stem Cell Therapy: Veterinary adult stem cells have been used with much success in the alleviation of inflammation and pain due to canine osteoarthritis and tendon/ligament injuries since 2005. We are proud to offer this cutting edge therapy as an additional weapon in our fight against painful joint diseases in dogs. Please ask our staff for more details on this promising therapy and click on the Stem Cell Therapy tab to the left.
